Synthesis of Some Benzimidazole derivatives 4'-(5, 6-substitued-2-trifluoromethylbenzoimidazol-1-ylmethyl)-biphenyl-2-carboxylic acid were synthesized by condensation of various steps with different o-Phenylenediamine was condensed with in propylene glycol was added trifluoroacetic acid in the presence of BF3•OEt2 as catalysis. Elemental analysis, IR, 1HNMR and mass spectral data confirmed the structure of the newly synthesized compounds. Synthesized and subjected to evaluate their antihypertensive activity. All the synthesized compounds of the series elicit remarkable activity in comparison to standard drug (Losartan).
